Question 1

What are research peptides?

Accepted Answer

Research peptides are chains of amino acids supplied exclusively for laboratory research and analytical purposes. They are not medicines, supplements, or therapeutic products and are not intended for human or animal consumption.

Question 2

What purity levels do your products meet?

Accepted Answer

Our products are supplied as research-grade materials and are supported by third-party analytical testing such as HPLC-MS / LC-MS, where applicable. Certificates of Analysis (CoA) are available to verify purity, identity, and quality.

Question 3

How should research peptides be stored?

Accepted Answer

Storage requirements depend on the specific compound and its form. Generally, lyophilized (dry) peptides should be stored refrigerated at 2-8°C, protected from light and moisture. For long-term storage, some compounds may be stored at -20°C. Once reconstituted, storage conditions vary by compound and research protocol.

Question 4

Are certificates of analysis available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and supporting laboratory documentation are available and can be accessed via the Lab Results page.

Question 5

Why are some details redacted on Certificates of Analysis?

Accepted Answer

All laboratory results published on Origin Labs are independently verified prior to release by established third-party analytical laboratories. Certain reference identifiers (such as task numbers, submission IDs, or client-specific references) are intentionally redacted to protect supply-chain confidentiality and prevent third-party reports from being misused, misattributed, or linked outside their intended research context. This practice is standard within research material distribution. Redaction does not affect the validity, authenticity, or relevance of the analytical results provided.

Question 6

Who can purchase these products?

Accepted Answer

Anyone over 18 in New Zealand can place an order. By checking out, you acknowledge that all products are supplied strictly for research use only and not for human or animal consumption.

Question 7

Can I use these products for personal use?

Accepted Answer

No. All products are supplied strictly for research use only. They are not medicines, supplements, or therapeutic goods and are not intended for human, veterinary, or consumer use.

Question 8

Do I need to prove I'm a researcher or institution?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no institutional verification or credential check at checkout. We do reserve the right to request additional information in rare cases where an order needs further review.

Question 9

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept both cryptocurrency and card payments. We accept New Zealand bank transfer (including POLi / instant online banking). No card surcharges apply — you pay the order total and nothing more.

Question 10

What happens if my payment is incomplete or incorrect?

Accepted Answer

If a payment does not meet the required amount, the order may remain pending or partially paid until the balance is received. Orders must be fully paid within the specified payment window to proceed. Orders that are not completed within this window are automatically cancelled.

Question 11

Do you offer store credit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Store credit may be issued after payment is confirmed and is linked to the email used at checkout. To apply available store credit to a new order, sign in using the same email address.

Question 12

Is there a minimum order amount?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The minimum order amount is $100.00 NZD. Orders below this threshold cannot be submitted. The minimum is calculated on your product subtotal before shipping.

Question 13

How much does shipping cost?

Accepted Answer

A flat shipping fee of $25.00 NZD applies to all orders under $100.00 NZD. Orders of $100.00 NZD or more qualify for free shipping via NZ Post Overnight.

Question 14

What shipping method do you use?

Accepted Answer

All orders are shipped using NZ Post Overnight. No other shipping methods are offered.

Question 15

Where do orders ship from?

Accepted Answer

Orders are fulfilled and dispatched within New Zealand via NZ Post Overnight.

Question 16

How long does shipping take?

Accepted Answer

NZ Post Overnight typically delivers within 1-3 business days, depending on location. Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary.

Question 17

How are products packaged?

Accepted Answer

Products are packaged securely and discreetly to maintain integrity during transit. Packaging is designed to protect materials and ensure reliable delivery.

Question 18

Can I track my order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tracking information is provided for all NZ Post Overnight shipments once your order has been dispatched.

Question 19

What happens if I order an in-stock item with a pre-order item?

Accepted Answer

If an order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, the entire order will be shipped together once the pre-order item is ready (typically 1-2 weeks). If you require in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing separate orders.

Question 20

Can I choose whether my parcel is left at my door or taken to the post office?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At checkout, you can choose between "Do Not Leave Unattended" (the default) or "Leave in a Safe Place". If you choose Do Not Leave, the carrier will card it and hold it at the nearest NZ Post post office for you to collect. If you choose Leave in a Safe Place, the courier will leave it at your door or another safe spot.

Question 21

What happens if my parcel goes missing after being left in a safe place?

Accepted Answer

If you selected "Leave in a Safe Place" at checkout, you accepted responsibility for the parcel once it was delivered to your address. Origin Labs is not liable for parcels that go missing, are stolen, or are damaged after being left unattended at your request. We recommend selecting "Do Not Leave Unattended" if you are concerned about parcel security.

Question 22

Tracking says "Delivered" but I never received my parcel. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

First, check around your property, with neighbours, and in any safe spots the carrier may have left it. If you selected "Leave in a Safe Place" at checkout, you accepted responsibility for the parcel once delivered. If you selected "Do Not Leave Unattended" and the carrier left it anyway, the carrier is at fault — please lodge a formal investigation with NZ Post at nzpost.co.nz/receiving/lost-or-damaged. If you selected "Signature on Delivery" and no valid signature was obtained, lodge an investigation with NZ Post and contact our support team.

Question 23

My tracking has not updated and my parcel seems lost in transit. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

If tracking has not shown any updates for an extended period and the parcel does not show as delivered, contact us within 14 days of the estimated delivery date. We will lodge an investigation with NZ Post on your behalf. If the carrier confirms the parcel is lost, we will arrange a replacement or store credit at our discretion.

Question 24

What is Signature on Delivery and should I select it?

Accepted Answer

Signature on Delivery is an optional add-on available at checkout for a small fee. It requires the carrier to obtain a signature from a person at the delivery address before releasing the parcel. We strongly recommend it if you are concerned about parcel security or theft.

Question 25

How do I lodge a missing parcel claim with NZ Post?

Accepted Answer

You can lodge a formal investigation directly with NZ Post at nzpost.co.nz/receiving/lost-or-damaged. You will need your tracking number and order details. This is recommended when the carrier has left a parcel without authorisation or when tracking shows the parcel is lost in transit.

Question 26

Can I get a refund if my parcel goes missing?

Accepted Answer

All sales are final and refunds are generally not offered. If tracking confirms delivery and you selected "Leave in a Safe Place", no replacement or refund will be provided. For parcels genuinely lost in transit (no delivery confirmation), contact us within 14 days and we will investigate. If the carrier confirms the parcel is lost, resolution is provided at our discretion (typically store credit or replacement).

Question 27

What is the process if I have a complaint about my order or delivery?

Accepted Answer

Contact our support team with your order number, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence within 14 days of the delivery date. We will investigate within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may request a written escalation which will be reviewed within 10 business days. All decisions after this review are final.

Question 28

How do I reconstitute lyophilized peptides?

Accepted Answer

Reconstitution methods vary depending on the compound and research application. Researchers should follow protocols appropriate to their specific experimental requirements using laboratory-grade materials.

Question 29

What is the shelf life of your products?

Accepted Answer

When stored correctly in sealed containers under recommended conditions, lyophilized peptides typically remain stable for extended periods. Stability after reconstitution varies by compound and storage protocol.

Question 30

Can products be refrozen after thawing?

Accepted Answer

Repeated freeze-thaw cycles can affect peptide stability. For research accuracy, aliquoting reconstituted solutions for single-use applications is recommended.

Question 31

Why is my account restricted or unable to place orders?

Accepted Answer

Origin Labs reserves the right to restrict accounts at its sole discretion. This may occur due to suspected fraud, chargebacks, repeated non-payment, abusive behaviour, or misuse of products. Restricted accounts cannot place new orders and any associated store credit may be frozen.

Question 32

Can I appeal an account restriction?

Accepted Answer

You may contact our support team to enquire about your account status. However, all restriction decisions are made at Origin Labs' discretion and are final.

Question 33

What should I do if I haven't received an order confirmation?

Accepted Answer

If you have not received an order confirmation email, please check your spam folder first. If it's not there, contact our customer support with your order details, and we will assist you in resolving the issue.
